This month's featured speaker at the June 2013 Julian Jaynes Conference on Consciousness and Bicameral Studies is

Carole Brooks Platt

Carole Brooks Platt, Ph.D., uses neuroscience, attachment theory and literary analysis to explain how great poets of the 19th and 20th centuries used inner voices, dreams and dissociative techniques to access right-hemispheric creativity. Now in the final stages of writing a book on the subject, she has been previously published in literary journals, Gnosis, The Jaynesian, Clio's Psyche and the Journal of Consciousness Studies and has presented her research at the 2010 “Toward a Science of Consciousness” conference.

The June 2013 conference at Temple Israel is a project of the Bertie Cohen "Rabbi's Invitational Series."
